Cold and damp seems to linger everywhere. My feet have landed on these blankets before in an effort to find warmth. The season feels late somehow, with only rain showing so far. There's a sense of tired anticipation, a quiet vigil that is resigned to the snow that can't be far away.
Where I Stand is an ongoing photo essay examining the different places I spend my life standing. Too often we take for granted the everyday places we spend our lives walking on. The ground we tread on has its own stories to tell.

Same here. It seems the snow will be warmer than this cold wet cold endless rain...
This is the wettest year on record for Ann Arbor.
